Izaias Sajvin Mendoza, born in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala, began working for Keith's Cacao as a gardener at 14. His interest in religions and cultures grew despite studying computers and accounting, fueled by a prophetic dream revealing his grandfather was a Shaman.

Following years of searching for his purpose, Izaias answered the call to serve as a Shaman. At 21, he married Izabel, meeting the traditional requirement to become a healer. Initiated as a Fire Shaman, he now conducts Cacao and Fire Ceremonies and performs Mayan calendar readings, honoring his ancestral traditions.

In April 2024. filmmaker Valentina Catenacci traveled to San Marcos La Laguna to document a Mayan fire ceremony, where she met Izaias. He introduced her to the Mayan calendar's intricacies and ceremonial traditions, especially the use of cacao and sacred fire.

For the first time, Valentina participated in and filmed a sacred Mayan fire ceremony. The insights she gained from Izaias offered practical tips on living harmoniously and cultivating a sacred fire at home rooted in love and meaning.

This interview marked a pivotal moment in Valentina's documentary, highlighting the importance of giving ancient cultures a voice and learning how they can teach us to connect deeply with nature and ourselves.
